Financial planning tiers

Below you will find our financial planning tiers, which have been developed to leverage the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities and core competencies. This is the recommended starting point for most clients as we believe financial planning helps provide the foundation needed to answer most financial questions or concerns.

These plans have two key components; an upfront and ongoing fee to reflect two distinct phases and the work involved in each phase. Early on, we do a tremendous amount of work at the onset to develop a plan around and fully address those initial burning questions or concerns. From there, we typically implement the recommendations we have discussed and agreed upon while tackling topics that may not have been as initially pressing but could be equally as important. As part of the ongoing relationship, we also offer ongoing investment management to the extent desired. And while we prefer long-term relationships and working with our clients many years into the future, there is no commitment to continue our relationship for a predetermined set of time.

 

All tiers include:

Upfront

  • Modular meetings to tackle the topics that are most pressing to you

  • A financial roadmap to help align your resources with your goals

  • Actionable, bite-sized steps for you to accomplish

  • Includes an investment review and investment recommendations, regardless if you decide to move forward with investment management

Ongoing

  • Ongoing assistance implementing and maintaining your financial roadmap

  • New analysis and financial advice as your life evolves

  • Quarterly check-ins and ad-hoc meetings as needed covering proactive, timely financial planning topics

Iron

$2,000 upfront

$300/quarter ongoing

The iron tier is designed for those just starting out on their financial journey, who may either be recent graduates or have very little financial complexity and are looking to hit the ground running.

In this package, you will receive:

  • Up to 4 modular meetings spanning planning topics of your choice

  • The first $50,000 in investment assets that we management are covered at no additional expense (up to a $250 value)

Copper

$3,000 upfront

$500/quarter ongoing

The copper tier is designed for mid-career professionals and entrepreneurs who have a moderate amount of financial complexity. Broadly speaking, most of our current clients fall into this category.

In this package, you will receive:

  • Up to 5 modular meetings spanning planning topics of your choice

  • The first $100,000 in investment assets that we management are covered at no additional expense (up to a $500 value)

Carbon

$4,000 upfront

$750/quarter ongoing

The carbon tier is designed for the most complex situations with many moving parts in their financial lives, which can include complex trusts, several real estate holdings and/or those with a small business.

In this package, you will receive:

  • Up to 6 modular meetings spanning planning topics of your choice

  • The first $150,000 in investment assets that we management are covered at no additional expense (up to a $750 value)

Investment management

0.50% of assets under management

  • Custom portfolios aligned with your goals and values

  • Daily monitoring and tax-sensitive/efficient rebalancing when portfolio drift occurs

  • Opportunistic tax loss harvesting

  • Depending on your ongoing financial planning package, the first $50,000 - $150,000 of investment assets that we manage are included in your ongoing financial planning fee

Modular planning

Hourly planning

$250/hr.

Have a specific question that doesn’t fit the mold? Let us know and we’ll work with you on an hourly basis to address your pressing question or concern.

Hourly and module fees may be applied toward your one-time planning tier fee if you choose to continue.
